🌚 Livestreaming News 🌚

Trying out something new here. We’re curating the most important things going on in the livestreaming that we think you should check out.

  • Twitch is rolling out a discovery feed for their mobile app, similar to TikTok. It shows users a mix of clips and live streams to help viewers find content and help streamers get discovered.

  • LiveSpace is shutting down on May 1 due to a lack of funding (despite platform growth).

  • Streamlabs released a new plugin for OBS (in beta). It allows you to add alerts and overlays, engage with your audience in chat, and add your widgets without leaving OBS Studio.

  • SoupforEloise, a UK Minecraft streamer, was featured in Metro where she shared her advice for quitting your job to be a full-time streamer.

  • Twitch banned Alinity and is making her go to “copyright school” to restore her channel.

  • Twitch is experimenting with promoting Creator’s Subs instead of Turbo subscriptions when ads are running on their channel

  • DreamHack has partnered with Kick for their upcoming events in Melbourne, Dallas, Atlanta and Stockholm.
